At Treasure Island Trading Co., we believe the most remarkable objects are more than things to own—they are physical pieces of the human story.
We specialize in procuring high-quality, rare, unusual, and historically significant artifacts and collectibles from across cultures, continents, and centuries. Every piece is selected for what sets it apart: authenticity, craftsmanship, historical importance, scarcity, beauty, provenance, or simply the extraordinary story it carries.
Our ever-changing collection may include ancient and historic artifacts, prehistoric fossils, early tools and relics, rare coins and currency, antique jewelry, precious metals and gemstones, militaria, historical documents, stamps, Americana, ethnographic objects, distinctive antiques, and unusual curiosities that simply cannot be found in an ordinary shop.
For us, collecting is about more than acquiring something rare. It is about preserving a physical connection to another person, another place, and another time.
We are treasure hunters at heart.
Rather than filling our inventory with ordinary, mass-market collectibles, we seek objects with character—pieces that invite you to pick them up, examine them closely, and wonder:
Where has this been? Who made it? Who carried it? What has it witnessed?
Some objects are remarkable because of their rarity. Others because of their age, craftsmanship, provenance, cultural significance, beauty, or extraordinary preservation. Occasionally, we encounter something whose greatest value cannot be measured by any of those things alone—it lies in the remarkable story the object represents.
From an artifact shaped by human hands centuries or even thousands of years ago, to a fossil preserved in stone for millions of years, we are drawn to objects that make the distant past feel immediate again.
The search is part of the story. The discovery is part of the experience.
Quality matters to us. History matters even more.
We carefully select pieces that we believe deserve to be preserved, studied, collected, displayed, appreciated, and ultimately passed forward to another generation.
Whenever possible, we research the history, age, materials, origin, craftsmanship, and significance of the objects we offer. Our goal is for our customers to receive more than an artifact or collectible—they should understand what it is, where it came from, and why it matters.
Our collection is constantly changing because many of the objects we procure are genuinely difficult to replace. Some are one-of-a-kind. Others are surviving examples of objects seldom encountered outside established collections. Once a remarkable piece finds its next home, we may never encounter another quite like it.
That unpredictability is part of what makes Treasure Island Trading Co. special.
You never know what will surface next.
